JAY MAA TARA JYOTISH LOK operates the Jyotish Lok mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, protect, and delete information when you use our astrology consultation, kundali, puja booking, remedies, spiritual calculator, wallet, chat, audio call, video call, shop, notification, and support services.

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following information when you use Jyotish Lok:

• Account and contact details: name, mobile number, email address, profile photo, gender, preferred language, address, and account identifiers.
• Astrology details: date of birth, time of birth, birth place, latitude, longitude, timezone, gotra, family member names, kundali details, matchmaking details, and details required for personalized kundali, reports, puja, remedies, gemstone, and rudraksha recommendations.
• Communication details: chat messages, call status, call duration, service requests, support messages, reviews, ratings, notification history, and consultation records.
• Transaction and order details: wallet balance, recharge records, payment status, order details, puja bookings, product orders, delivery address, invoice or booking references, refund records, cancellation records, offers, and service history.
• Device and usage details: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, Firebase token, crash logs, diagnostics, security logs, feature usage, and pages or screens used in the app.
• Media and files: profile image, chat attachments, report files, downloaded PDF files, and images or documents uploaded by you for support, profile, chat, product, puja, remedy, or report purposes.
• Location-related details: birth place search, selected coordinates, city, address, and location-related values needed for astrology calculations or delivery. We do not require continuous background location tracking for normal app use.

2. App permissions and why we request them

Jyotish Lok may request permissions only when required for app features:

• Internet: to connect with our servers, payment services, chat, calls, notifications, astrology APIs, maps, and support services.
• Notifications: to send OTP updates, chat and call alerts, booking updates, wallet updates, offers, reminders, and service notifications.
• Location: to select or resolve birth place, latitude, longitude, timezone, city, delivery, or astrology calculation details. Location is generally used based on your selected place or permission-based action.
• Camera: to capture profile photos, support images, chat attachments, or to enable video consultation when you choose to use video call features.
• Microphone: to enable audio calls, video calls, and live consultation features.
• Photos, media, files, and storage: to upload profile images, chat attachments, report files, documents, and to download or open PDFs and media related to services.
• Media location: may be used by Android when selecting media that contains location metadata. We use such access only for app features selected by you.

You can manage app permissions from your device settings. Some features may not work if required permissions are denied.

3. How we use your information

• Create, verify, secure, and manage your Jyotish Lok account.
• Provide astrology consultations, kundali services, puja bookings, remedies, reports, spiritual calculator recommendations, and other requested services.

5. Third-party services

Jyotish Lok may use third-party services for features such as OTP, Firebase notifications, analytics, crash reporting, Google Maps or place search, payment gateways, video or voice calling, astrology APIs, file storage, and hosting. These providers may process limited information according to their own privacy policies and only for providing the requested functionality.

6. Astrology, remedies, gemstone, and rudraksha guidance

Astrology, kundali, puja, remedies, gemstone, and rudraksha recommendations are spiritual and informational services. They should not be treated as medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Please use your personal judgment before making any decision based on these services.

7. Payments and wallet

Payment card, UPI, banking, or payment instrument details are processed by payment gateway providers. Jyotish Lok stores transaction references, payment status, amount, wallet balance, and related order records needed for account history, support, refunds, fraud prevention, and compliance.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services. When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or archive it according to our internal policies and applicable law.
